Taser Cases

The introduction of a taser into the police officer’s and general public’s arsenal has undoubtably saved many lives. Unfortunately, in many cases, these “less than lethal” weapons have numbed their bearers into a false sense of protection. Because of the “less than lethal” designation, less restraint is often exercised when firing these weapons than would be with a traditional firearm. Still, all taser-bearing individuals, both citizens and police, have a responsibility not to abuse their weapons.
A taser is a serious weapon, and it’s effects can be extremely dangerous and life threatening. The high voltage of a taser may cause serious damage to your nervous system, or disrupt cardiovascular activity, especially if you already suffer from certain illnesses. If you were already restrained, such as with handcuffs, the effects of a taser may cause additional damage to your wrists.
If you feel that you have been the victim of taser abuse or other police misconduct, you should seek aggressive legal counsel experienced with taser cases. Contact us, and we will discuss your legal options and possible recourse for the abuse.
As always with taser cases, at Walker Wallace, PLC there is no charge to the client, unless we win or settle your case. If we do win or settle your case, court costs and/or case expenses will be deducted from that settlement or judgment.
